My name is Summer Niethe and I am now into my third year of my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) degree. This year is my first experience of completing all my courses online due to the USC transfer.
As a 19 year old in today’s society, my relationship with modern ICTs such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter is quite addictive. I feel as though I would feel completely lost without them as they, in some cases, the only way that enables me to keep in touch with close friends and family who do not live nearby. However, there is definitely times where I feel like throwing my computer out the window! This urge has certainly occurred over the past week trying to set up my blog! I have seen on my professional experience the value that technology has in young children’s learning, particularly with students that are having difficulties. This only gives me more encouragement to put my best efforts in this course and towards implementing ICT into my pedagogy in the most effective ways.
